Three-time Olympian Jenny Simpson remains hospitalized in Raleigh, North Carolina, but is showing “encouraging improvement” after collapsing during a track and field event Wednesday, June 17.

Simpson, who has represented the USA at three Olympics, was pacing a group at a Pop Up Miles event when the incident happened.
