Discord users will have to scan their faces to use the app in its entirety as new age restrictions are ushered in. It's a move that's become more commonplace worldwide as websites seek to safeguard young people.
WITH the ongoing issues for online security among children, especially sexual exploitation and inappropriate content in the internet, instant messaging app Discord will now assume new users are ‘teen-by-default’ and therefore will have content restricted and age-appropriate.
Discord plans to set every user's account to teen-by-default — unless you're willing to undergo an invasive age verification process.
